I just got a letter from Writer’s Digest informing me that I did not win the self-published author contest for this year. They also sent a comment sheet from judge #31, and I scored a five on plot, and a four on each remaining category; grammar, character development, and cover design. The scale was 0 to 5, five being outstanding. With it came this comment;
“Eliminating the Middleman has a fun plot device, the murder of infomercial actors. Maria is an interesting heroine, self-assured and confident. It’s an imaginative story, and clearly the author has a lot of passion for his subject and his heroine.”
